Paris Palette Aquas

Three days until I get on the plane to Paris, and since the beautiful Sigma Paris Palette is too bulky to take with me, I want to use it as much as I can before I leave.

By the way, if anyone at Sigma is listening, it would be so cool to have a small portable version of this palette. The shades are unique and special, and I love them very much. The graphics on the palette are pretty, classy and evocative of the city, but if they made a version that included just the eye shadows and was about the size of the Naked Basics palette, I would so be taking it with me! And I'd buy one for all my friends.

So i used these shades this way:

• Versailles across the lids to the crease
• Peche blush in the crease
• Lumiere highlighter on the brow bones
• Orsay on outer V of lids
• Louvre layered over Orsay at outer edge of V
• Seine along both lash lines
• L'Oréal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black with Anastasia Lash Genius over it

No Raccoon Eye Video for My Mom

Recently I had a chance to visit my Mom in NYC and have dinner for her birthday. We got to chatting about makeup, and she was asking about how to put on eye makeup so it doesn't move around and streak downward to create that dreaded Raccoon Eye.

I realized that since I got serious about beauty blogging in March, I've been doing lots of research on this, and have come up with some pretty good tips and helpful products.

So here's my video on this.

Apologies if I'm whining too much about the heat in my office during the vid. Could have been a hot flash. Who knows?

Sigma Mrs. Bunny Travel Collection Video

For my first ever beauty blog video I filmed my opening of this lovely brush collection, which I've come to rely upon quite heavily on all of my summer travels. Not only are these brushes adorable with their pale pink ferrules and powder blue handles, but they are high quality synthetic softness, usable with cream and powder products.

Please forgive my face frighteningly clean of makeup, and my hair, which is a total sick day bedhead bonanza.
